Operate the forwarder to transport logs from the cutting site to loading or storage areas. Inspect and maintain the forwarder to ensure it is in safe and efficient working condition. Perform minor repairs and routine maintenance as needed. Ensure proper loading and unloading of logs to maximize efficiency and minimize damage to the environment. Follow safety guidelines and comply with forestry regulations. Work collaboratively with other forestry team members, including harvesters and site supervisors. Monitor terrain conditions and adjust operations accordingly to avoid unnecessary environmental impact.
