During my placement, I worked directly with Infrastructre Director on projects in Wales, where I used hydraulic design software to determine optimal channel sizes. I created catchment plans, construction details, and assembled the full package for a S104 SAB application. I also contributed to the proposed drainage plan for Channel View—a task that was both engaging and high in responsibility.

My role included designing drainage details and exceedance plans, using ACO drain software to model 100-year flood scenarios and support sustainable drainage strategies. This experience strengthened my technical, analytical, and communication skills through hands-on work and site visits.
